Welcome to the newest feature on MYFO: Welcome Back! We know there’s a lot of fans of football teams that have nothing to pay attention to anymore. Knowing that, they’re turning to other sports. We’re happy to help. Every time a football team’s season ends, we’ll welcome those fans back to the fold by giving them an update as to what that city’s team has been up to this year.
Welcome back, Seahawks fans!
YOUR (Well, not really your, per se, but close) Vancouver Canucks are currently tied for the division lead. Behind the steady veteran leadership of Roberto Luongo and his .928 Save Percentage, the Canucks have a decent shot at the Playoffs, and may make a run of things. See, Pacific Northwest fans? You can have a veteran that still plays like an All-Star. Tell Shaun Alexander that he can go fuck himself.
Points leaders and twin brothers Daniel and Henrik Sedin are leading the top line with 44 and 45 points, respectively. If these two can keep trucking, and Luongo doesn’t revert back to mid-season sucking, the Canucks should have no problem making the playoffs and making a deep run at the Cup.
They will not, however, yell about taking the puck and scoring. They’ll leave that to Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s brother-in-law.
