MYFO Exclusive: David Stern Talks Playoffs

The Stanley Cup Finals may be over, but the NBA Finals are just getting under way tonight. When offered the chance for an exclusive chat with NBA honcho David Stern, we couldn’t resist. After all, this is the guy Gary Bettman learned about running a league from. From the lips of the Master to your ears… Continue reading

Do You Believe in Probable Outcomes? YES!!!!

And just like that, your intrepid MYFO editors step away from their keyboards, take a deep breath, and dance on the stupid faces of those at ThePensBlog. After the game, Tomas Holmstrom was quoted, “Reasonable Doubt, this one was for you, buddy.”

Hell yes.

We’d like to thank everyone over the last six games in Live Blog World. We had a lot of fun and will be back in that game for Awards Night and the Draft a month for now. As for standard daily snark, we’ll be back tomorrow with some recap and recollection…if the booze wears off.

In the meantime, join us here for the liveblog starting around 7:30 PM EDT

He’s followed up his 40-win ’06-’07 regular season with a dominating 2008 playoff performance, winning 12 of his first 14 starts and posting a sub-2.00 Goals Against Average and a 94% Save Percentage en route to a Cup Finals berth. Therefore, my client is seeking nothing less than legitimate, top-notch goaltender money in the vicinity of $6-$7 million per year over the next five seasons.

Ray Shero pauses. He pulls out a remote control, hits a button, and a video screen drops down from the ceiling. The following clip plays:

You, Me and Marc-Andre Fleury

It was a tough holiday weekend for the Penguins and goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. Two games in Detroit, zero goals, and halfway to having to answer stupid questions from reporters about where it all went wrong, what happened to all the momentum. But hey, it’s tough all over, and nobody is crying for Hockey Jesus and his demoralized band of disciples. Least of all me. Continue reading
